Letter home from Iraq

Published: January 31, 2007

Good Morning Jan,

Greetings from Iraq, you are a valued asset to our mission and personal readiness. In God's Word, Romans 13:7, it says to give honor where honor is do and blessings are what you deserve. Our hearts are overwhelmed by the gratitude you share with the Marines and Sailors of this command. The love you have expressed has given our boys a touch of home and care that is not prevalent here in a war zone. Your gesture has touched them; allowing them to recover their normalcy quicker and keeping secure for a longer period of time.

Thank you for caring, thank you for taking the time to express your love.

The roller coaster of emotions that have become an everyday way of life can only be broken when loving people like you give us emotional detours forcing us to contemplate a reality that once surrounded us. Please continue to remember us and never allow our nation to forget the honor we fight for, the commitment we have for our nation and the courage it takes to leave everything we love and know to defend those who can not defend themselves.

Once again, know how much we appreciate you and the gesture you have shared with my Marines and Sailors. Here is a picture of our items displayed in our "ChapsMart" and Coffee House (Eden's Nectar); as you can see the guys are enjoying it..

Blessings,
