March 9, 2007

Dear C.A.R. Member:

Each day, California REALTORS® contact the C.A.R. Member Legal Hotline with hundreds of questions pertaining to real estate law. Some want clarification regarding disclosure requirements, while others inquire about the rules of real estate advertising.

But whether or not you’ve called the Member Legal Hotline with your own inquiry, there’s an easier, faster way to find the answer to your general legal questions. Your state trade association posts—and continuously updates—more than 200 legal articles on C.A.R. Online (), and as a member, you can access this helpful, essential information for free.

To help you get acquainted with the comprehensive legal resources available online, look for “25 Common Legal Hotline Questions & Answers,” a special report in the March issue of “California Real Estate” magazine. The special report contains the answers to the top 25 legal questions brought to the hotline time and time again, covering topics like disclosures, contracts, and commissions. Following each question and answer set, you’ll find the title of the online legal article (accessible through ) that contains a more in-depth look at that legal issue.

I hope you’ll make use of “25 Common Legal Hotline Questions & Answers.” I know I will.

Sincerely,

<personname w:st="on">Colleen Badagliacco</personname>
2007 C.A.R.
