I just wanted to write to introduce myself. My name is 1stLt Mary Bittner. CWO2 Mauricio Torres passed your information on to me and told me about all the wonderful support that you've given to him and his crew. I just want to let you know that my Marines and I are settling in nicely and are in good spirits. For many of us it is our first time in Iraq, but a handful have been here before. I'm excited about the next few months and I think the Marines and I are going to do a lot of good things.

I hope that you and yours are doing well. We appreciate all the support that you have already given. If you would like to continue to support us, just let me know. Otherwise, I wish you the best life has to offer. We couldn't do what we do without people like you and I know Mauricio and his Marines truly appreciated what you did for them.

Sincerely,

=======================================

Good Morning,

I am so happy to hear from you.

It will be our pleasure and joy to support you while you are in Iraq.
I know each group has different needs and we will try to send your requests. Some of the platoons must carry everything and so small individual packages are a must.

Others I can send large containers and they share. One platoon may need lots of socks and foot powder and others seem not to need any.

My friends and I try to send what will bring the most comfort and joy to our troops.
If you can let us know we would rather send snacks that remind you of home than razors if you don't need them.

We got a request for Little Debbies and I thnk it was like Christmas to have Little Debbies and Starbucks coffee.
One special lady of our group gives me Starbucks coffee to send.

We are so thankful for our troops and your sacrifice.

Give our love and thanks to Mauricio Torres as he goes to his family.

God bless and stay safe,

Jan and friends,
I talked to the Marines about what they need and they gave me a short
list. Mostly, they want snacks. I hope this helps.

Popcorn
Kool-aid (with sugar pre-mixed in)
Gold fish crackers
Hot Cheetos (Cpl Beamus' favorite chips)
Pringles
Creamer (any flavor)
Magazines – Super Street Bike
Motorcyclist
Sport Rider
People
Sport Bike

I'm sure the requests will change over time. We're all still doing well
on toiletries since we have only been out here for a few weeks. Please
let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for the support,
